The Role
As a Senior Systems Engineering Consultant you will predominantly focus on the left-hand side of the recognised Systems Engineering V-Model, developing, decomposing, managing and integrating accurate and effective requirements for a variety of client programmes.
As a valued member of our Solutions Engineering team you will impact and shape the development of existing and future systems and solutions that support major UK defence assets. You will demonstrate a curiosity and commitment to excellence with a passion to develop and grow our systems engineering service offerings to our esteemed client base.

Day to day duties include:
Requirements Definition

Engaging with stakeholders to gather, clarify, and prioritise business and technical needs through interviews, workshops, case studies and document analysis. Good verbal and written communication skills are key.

Documenting Functional and Non-functional requirements using industry-standard formats and tools to document and link requirements including, CONOPS, User Stories, Use Case Diagrams and Requirement Specifications.

Collaborating with cross functional project teams, including designers, developers, testers, SMEs to ensure a shared understanding of the requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
Architecture Design
Skills & experience required
You will need a strong, technical systems engineering background, adaptable engineering skills, passion, and an output focused and collaborative mindset.
Technical knowledge and experience required:

Systems requirements development expertise including definition, decomposition, system design and integration, verification, validation and acceptance processes

Experience of user requirements development, CONOPS, CONUSE assessment, their requirements definition and acceptance

Skilled in client & end user engagement, experience of working collaboratively with project managers, engineers, specialists, supply chains and stakeholders to ensure the system design is developed to meet customer requirements

A bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical / Electronics Engineering related field or equivalent qualification
