The Role
As a key member of our collaborative Business Winning team, you’ll manage complex opportunities, work with clients, and contribute to internal projects, all while demonstrating strong business development and bid writing skills, a typical week could include:
- Leading Bid Management: Overseeing the bidding process, ensuring best practice in planning, deliverables, and compliance for clients and internally.
- Client & Internal Projects: Engaging with clients to understand their needs and managing internal projects to support bidding and business development efforts.
- Team Coordination: Organising and mobilising bid teams, liaising with authors, and managing content contributions.
- Proposal Development: Comparing proposals to requirements, providing editorial control, and ensuring high-quality, compliant responses.
- Business Development: Enhance bid strategies and identify new opportunities.
- Bid Writing: Crafting clear, persuasive, and tailored proposals.
- Process Improvement: Developing, maintaining and enhancing bid management processes and practices.
- Client Interaction: Maintaining robust client dialogue records and competitor intelligence.

Key Requirements
- Experience: Practical experience in a bid management, consulting or a similar role is essential. We’re looking for business development acumen and a proven track record in bidding. Knowledge of MOD/Government procurement is highly desirable.
- Skills: Literacy skills and a master of MS Word is essential, a skilled bid writer with strong proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel. Graphics skills are a plus.
- Certifications: APMP or PRINCE2 qualification preferred.
- Competencies: An effective collaborator, leader and self-starter with exceptional stakeholder management abilities. You’ll have a firm eye for detail with a curious, flexible and proactive problem-solving approach.
- Current right to live and work in the UK.
- Current SC clearance or willing and eligible to undergo a Security Clearance check*.
- Happy to travel.
